While posting a comment on a friend's blog, I noticed an option that said "choose an identity" allowing one to post using their email address, IM screen name, blogger name, etc. My thoughts were sparked and I began contemplating who I am and my identity. Most people would say that I am an American, a twin, etc. These descriptions are true, but they do not describe the totality of my identity.

1 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come." Ephesians 2 describes us (Christians) as: alive in Christ (v.5), seated in the Heavenly realms (v.6), God's workmanship (v.10), and fellow citizens with God's people (v.19).
1 Peter 2:9 gives this description, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."
According to John 1:12 I am a child of God, and 2 Corinthians 6:1 says that I am one of God's workers. So, I thought I would challenge you to consider who you are, and encourage you to be content in your identity of who God says you are and is perception of you!
"Your understanding of who God is and who you are in relationship to Him is the critical foundation for your belief system and your behavior patterns as a Christian."

this reminds me so much of who i thought i was. a year ago i could have told you who i was and who i stood for...now im trying to build myself back up so that i can truly say that i am once again an ambassador for Christ. Represent Him well. Your stuff always makes me think. hmmm
